Dessie L. Murphy

Murphy, Dessie L. 92, of Arnold, MO died Saturday, October 6, 2012 surrounded by her family. Mrs. Murphy was born Sept. 26, 1920 in Liberty, KY. She had resided in Center Line MI for 60 years. A beloved and respected employee of Miller Elementary School, she retired after 32 years of service. She was a member of the Church of Christ teaching Bible School classes for 30 years. Mrs. Murphy had five children, and was preceded in death by husband, Wm. Hobert Murphy, one son, Wm. Mitchell Murphy and one daughter-in-law Darlene Murphy. Survivors include: Randall Murphy of Center Line, MI, Carol Murphy of Ballwin, MO, Elaine Murphy of Arnold, MO., and Kendall Murphy of Macomb, MI; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services: Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tues., Oct. 9 at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., St. Louis, then to Arnold Church of Christ for visitation from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at the Church building with burial at Shepherd Hills Cemetery.
