Edna V. Dummerth

Dummerth, Edna V. (nee Frank), fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Robert A. Dummerth; loving mother of Dennis (Sandy) Dummerth, Diane (Jerry) Waller, Donna Dummerth, Denise (the late Peter Horvath) Dummerth, Daniel (Cathy) Dummerth, Dale (Eva) Dummerth, Danette Cristel and Darlene Rapp; adoring grandmother of 27; great-grandmother of 31; our dearest sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend to many. Edna served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as part of the W.A.V.E.S. She was a lifetime member of the St. Louis Service Women's Post #404. She was a proud member of the All American Girls Professional Baseball League, and was inducted in to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1988. Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON Chapel, 10151 Gravois, on Friday, October 13 at 9:30 a.m. to St. Catherine Laboure for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment at J.B. National Cemetery. Masses preferred or say a prayer in honor of Edna. Visitation Thursday, 5-9 p.m.
