Dear Dorothy,
I was so sad to hear of Vito's passing. I will always remember his smile and happy greeting everytime I would see him in the neighborhood or at work. He always had ideas to share and was known throughout Parkway as a true advocate for teacher's rights. His life stood for something and I hope your boys can take some comfort in that. Vito was a friend to many. Sandy Collins

I am so happy to have had the chance to work with Vito on behalf of my fellow St Louis Community College faculty. Vito was empathetic, tireless, honest, and fearless in the help and support he gave to those of us who love teaching and care about our students. Professor Margaret Hvatum

What a special person to all teachers. He was a role model for what was right, and he cared about the future of education and teachers. I treasured the time I spent with him "fighting" for what was right, He will always be a hero to me.
