I've known Steve since he was a little kid buzzing up and down the street on a minibike. Never knew him to be anything but happy and pleasant to be around. Always had a kind word and a smile. My sympathy to the family.

Dear Becky, Jason, and Andrew,
Steve was a great guy and a wonderful friend. He loved everyone and everyone loved him. He brought laughter and a big smile to everything he did. I was so shocked to hear of his sudden passing. I will miss him dearly. I am also very saddened that I was unable to attend the service as I hear it was beautiful but unfortunately I was in Florida at my Father's funeral. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Becky, Jason and Andrew. I was at the funeral today -- it was such a beautiful service. The words that all three of you spoke today still resonate with me. I can't get your beautiful speeches out of my head nor stop thinking of him. Steve was such a wonderful person - he always had a smile on his face and in his heart. He will be truly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. You were truly blessed to have him in your lives. Godspeed to all of you.

Dear Becky, Andrew and Jason,
Our son Ross just contacted us, we are all so shocked and heartbroken for you all. It was just several days ago that I saw Steve at our regular Starbucks, where he greeted me with a big grin and hug. I always looked forward to seeing him there - - so joyful and full of family news and the boys' adventures. He lived life with gusto! We will miss his happy smile and contagious enthusiasm. Some of my earliest memories as a child were swimming at Steve's parents house off the outer road and before that when his sister ran through the glass screen door chasing Brad and Steve in Indian Meadows. Seems not so long ago and yet a lifetime away. While we weren't able to stay in touch often in each others lives, whenever I would see Steve at the JCC or out and about it he made me feel as if we were best friends. Steve was always welcoming, had a broad smile and genuinely interested in how I was doing and how my family was, specifically asking about the boys by name.
