Rich, I'm very sorry to hear about your Mother. I lost my Mother at 42 yrs. in 1950. Your Mom had a very long, and I hope, a happy life.

So sorry to hear of the loss. I've posted a little note on Coptalk for the brotherhood to see and appreciate what happens when the unthinkable actually happens to a fellow cop...and the impact on his family. MRS NELKE did not have it easy and her contribution was considerable. God bless the Nelke family!

To the Nelke Family...I was so sorry to hear of Mrs. Nelke's passing. I have such fond memories/stories of her from PH days and the South City area. I'm not sure which are my actual memories and which I've heard so many times from my mom. All I know is whenever I think of her, I can't help but smile. She was admired and loved by my family. May your memories of her and those of others bring you peace and comfort.
