Dorothy Biggs Obituary

Biggs, Dorothy Mill (nee Dittmann), 98, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 10, 2013. Dorothy was born on March 7, 1915 to the late Estelle and Robert Dittmann. She was the beloved wife of the late Milton Mill and the late John Biggs. She was the devoted mother of Sally Driemeyer (Derick), Charles Mill (Sherry), and Carol Spencer (John). Loving grandmother of 7 and great-grandmother of 9. Dear stepmother of John Biggs, Jr. (Betsy), Steve Biggs (Kathy), Bob Biggs (Sally), and Arden Schlueter (Bob). Dear sister of the late Jane Betz and the late William Dittmann. Dear aunt, cousin, stepgrandmother, step-great-grandmother, and friend to many. Dorothy graduated from Washington University where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and she was a long time member of Ladue Chapel. Dorothy will be remembered for her great love and appreciation for her family and friends. She loved people and was very grateful for many things in her life. Her family is especially grateful for the loving care she received from the outstanding staff at Mari De Villa. Services: A memorial service will be held, Tuesday, April 16, 4:00 p.m. at Ladue Chapel, 9450 Clayton Rd. , 63124. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association (americanheart.org), St. Louis Children's Hospital (stlouischildrens.org), or the charity of one's choice would be appreciated. www.boppchapel.com
