I met this wonderful man one time in St. Louis. He lived in the same building as my only daughter. She told me about him. She told me she would read to him as he was unable to see well. She adored him and his wife Stella. Two people after one meeting.......I will never forget. R.I.P. Read. tell Stella I said hello.

What wonderful memories I have of Read and Stella at Terra Cotta Lofts, their home in downtown St. Louis. Read was the best conversationalist - I always learned something new from him. What a treasure we have lost. My thoughts and prayers to his family.

The Isaac E. Young High School Alumni Association (New Rochelle, NY) notes with sadness the passing of Read Larson, class of 1943. Read was a true polymath whose realm of interests encompassed just about everything within his reach. He was one of the few teenage graduates who made it known he wished to become a mechanical engineer, eventually enrolled at Yale and accomplished just that. He will be missed by all who knew him during the springtime of our youth so many years ago.
