Charles E. Thoele

Thoele, Charles E. of St. Louis, died on October 12, 2016 after a struggle with cancer. He is survived by Judy, his wife of almost 58 years, sons Jim (Mary), John (Lana), Bob and 4 grandchildren, Jim (Julie), Monica, Joe, and Morgan. Proceeded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Jane, and sister, Mary (Joe) Young. He worked with the Sisters of Mercy and Mercy Health System for almost 50 years in various administrative and executive positions, most recently on the Board of Directors. Mercy was his second family. He was also a past Chairman of the Board of the Catholic Health Association of the United States. He loved his work and family and enjoyed golf, traveling with Judy and friends and spending time at his lake house with the grandkids. Plans for a memorial service are pending.
