Athanas, Gloria June (nee Hovis), peacefully at rest on May 13, 2009. Beloved wife of the late Ellis Athanas, Sr.; loving mother of Ellis Athanas, II; dear grandmother of Ellis, III and Jason Athanas; dear sister of William (Velda) Hovis, Jr., and the late Kathryn Marion; dear aunt and friend. Services: The family received friends, Mon., May 18, in The Great Hall of Ambruster Donnelly Mor tuary, 6633 Clayton Rd. (Clayton) from 4-8pm. Funeral Services were celebrated 10am Tues., at Ambruster-Donnelly. Interment St. Matthews Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
