Keelen Monfore Obituary

Keelan Beridon Monfore, 39, a loving husband and father, passed away on May 25, 2011.
He was born in Alexandria, LA, and resided in Ragley. He was an accomplished oilfield mechanic employed by Stone Energy. Keelan loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was also a horseman and an aspiring cattle rancher. Keelan was a great friend to many and his generosity touched countless lives. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Jessica Stutes Monfore; three children, Grace Caroline, Marshall, and Alidia; his birth parents, Sarah Hammonds Lora of Lake Charles and Dennis Aycock of Jacksonville, FL; his adoptive parents, David and Lynn Monfore of Carlyss and John Beridon of Houston; two brothers, Matthew Beridon and wife Melissa of Sulphur and Solomon Shirley and wife Paula of Reeves; one sister, Erin Aycock of Deville, LA; his grandmothers, Charlotte Hammonds of Lake Charles and Pat Aycock of Jacksonville, FL; his grandfather, Roy Monfore of Mena, AR; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 3, 2011 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Glenn Ducharme, Pastor of Reeves Bible Church, will be officiating. Burial will be at Highland Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will continue on Friday from 8 a.m. until time of services.
Donations may be made to Camp Pearl (www.camppearl.com) or to The Gideons (www.gideons.org).
