I always knew Mac as Killer McCoy. We played high school baseball together. He earned the nickname Killer because Coach Dombrowski told him to quit trying to kill the ball - just meet it. Mac always swung for the fences. I think he continued to swing for the fences his entire life.

I love Mac. He always could make me laugh. All of us in the Shelton class of 1963 will miss him greatly.

The Irene S. Reed High School (Shelton, WA) Class of 1963 has lost our friend Mac McCoy. We will miss you. So glad we got to visit at the 50th class reunion last year.
