Ruben Benjamin "Jr" Burnham, Jr., age 82 of Vancleave, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018.
A brick mason for most of his life, Jr served in the Army National Guard, loved to hunt and fish and was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #332 in D'Iberville, for the past 35 years and held a Fellowship Degree. He loved telling stories and making people laugh. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by parents, Ruben B. Burnham, Sr. and Sarah Anne Bates (Mitchell); his siblings, Willie Lee Burnham, Mary Lou Stockley, Thelma Kirby, Luther Burnham, merelene Springle, Brooks Burnham and Melvin Burnham.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Glenda Ferrell Seymour Burnham; his children, Ruben B. Burnham, III. (Melinda) , Rita Jane "Sissy" Burnham, Sonya Ann Moran (Jeff), Mitzi King and Paul Christopher Burnham; grandchildren, Kevin Burnham, Becky O'Neal (David), Eric Moran, Timothy Moran, Shane King and Chandler King; and one great-grandchild, Riley O'Neal; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends that he thought the world of.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 2:00 PM, with visitation for friends from 1:00 PM until service time at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd., at Washington Ave. West Jackson County. Interment will follow at Seymour Cemetery at Bayou Talla.
