1972-2014
Biloxi, MS
Derek Todd Desnoyers, age 41, of Biloxi, MS, passed away on January 17, 2014.
Todd was born in Willimantic, CT, to Robert G. and Grace Dycus Desnoyers and graduated from Parish Hill High School in Chaplin, CT. He worked in the casino industry for 18 years and was employed at Hard Rock Casino in Biloxi. Todd had been a professional musician in Memphis, TN and had signed with Ardent Records. He was a member of Maples Memorial United Methodist Church and loved music, golf, and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda Desnoyers of Biloxi; his children, Alexandria and Emma Kate Desnoyers; his parents, Robert and Grace Desnoyers of Jackson, TN; his brother, Gavin Desnoyers (Amanda Kaye and their children) of Atlanta, GA; and an extended family and many friends.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
Memorials may be made to an educational fund for Todd's children at Hancock Bank, the Alexandria and Emma Kate Desnoyers Educational Fund.

Sending my most heartfelt condolences to Amanda, your two beautiful daughters, Gavin and family, and to Todd's parents. I will always remember the special times that Todd and I shared in high school from listening to him play the guitar to him taking me to my first (and only) concert ever. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. We knew Todd from Tunica, he has always treated others with kindness and respect. He was excellent at his job and spoke of his family, his pride and joy, often. He will be greatly missed in the poker family and will be remembered always.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lived near Todd growing up and have many fond memories of him. He helped me get down from the huge tree that was in front of his house, after I realized I was afraid of heights. We rode bikes, raced and crashed into fire ants and 7 minute itch. I remember him playing his guitar and how awesome he played. So many childhood memories. I'll keep you in my prayers.
