Dewey...Upon receiving your note late yesterday I was disheartened - not for Esther because her suffering is now over and she is now in a better place - but because I could not see her at least one last time. The memories of you and her giving me a home-away-from-home while I was going through A&E school at Kessler in the late 40's will be everlasting. She was the sweetest gal I’d ever met and she so happily fried the best speckled trout in the world. I could see why you loved her so much. You both were very fortunate for many wonderful years. Those memories will be with me forever. My wife Myra and I extend our most sincere sympathy to you and to your family.

Uncle Tom, Jeanne, and TD, I am so sorry that you have lost Aunt Esther. She was someone I always admired and will always remember fondly. Whenever I see purple, especially flowers, I will think of her beauty, laughter, and those sparkling eyes. I know that she and my mother (Lillian Lott Hall) are having a grand time in Eternity now--dancing, laughing, and bossing the angels around. Oh, what a pair of wonderful women. They were amazing. My thoughts and prayers are yours in this time of grief. My love to you all

~~ Tom, Jeanne, & TD Adams ~~
I am sorry to hear of Esther's passing away. I know how much she will be missed by you all and your loved ones. She was a dear, special, classy lady that I will always remember -- her smile, laughter, grace, wit & charm, she was a hoot! Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel watching over each of you. May you cherish all the happy times you spent with Esther. She will always live on in our hearts, prayers, and the many memories we all have of Esther shall last forever. I love you all & Esther too -- you are my family. When I think of Esther I have to smile. I hope Esther and Daisy are just a talking -- up there in heaven together. May God bless each of you during your time of grief. My love always to each of you, your cousin, Ernestine Winters.

Uncle Tom, Jeanne and TD and your oved ones,
Jim and I just heard of Aunt Esther passing. I know the sadness that comes with losing her, but I also know the peace that she now has. Know that she was a beautiful lady, adored by many, admired by family for her grace and style. We will all miss her and her lively ways. I wish Jim and I could be there for her services, but work and long-distances will separate those endeavors. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless and keep you in this time of grief. I hope she and mother are dancing right now in heaven. They were two close cousins, two beautiful daughter, two devoted war brides, and two life-long great friends. Our Love to all!

Tom and Donna & family,
I'm saddened to learn of your Mom's passing. She battled an unrelenting and unforgiving adversary. It is difficult to lose a parent. Sometimes relief provides a bit of comfort as the loved one is no longer suffering. All of you will be in my thoughts these next weeks and months as you travel this well worn path many have traveled.
