2025 and I still treasure the fact I got to meet this man and he autographed a couple of his books. Rest in Peace

Thank you for your magnificent work, your tremendous erudition - it made an enormous difference for me in my boyhood to come across your writings, recordings, and the marvelous Stravinsky dialogue books. You will be missed.

Bob helped me to make my film about Stravinsky in 1982. I could not have done so without him, and I hope the film is a tribute to him as well as to Uncle Igor. But Bob was far more than just a collaborator. He was a true friend, honest and loyal, and a remarkable musician and conductor in his own right. I learned the entire works of Webern long before I met him, a treasure for ever. I refuse to believe he's gone, and for me he hasn't. He will always be over my shoulder reminding me of the error of my ways. A wonderful, and often much under-estimated and under-valued, human being.

Thank you for your friendship to Stravinsky, we wouldn't have some of the legacies we have if it wasn't for you.

A remarkable musician and writer without whom the international cultural life of the past seventy years would be unthinkably different. Both for his recordings - especially his exquisite second cycle of the complete music of Webern, the fine first ever recordings of the later Stravinsky and so many of his wonderful recordings of Schoenberg - and for his finest writings on music, art and literature, and for his positive actions in rescuing much valuable music from obscurity, Robert Craft remains a cultural figure of high importance and lasting value.'

I'm the first? Really? What else is there to say but thank you. Thank you for your service to Stravinsky and for all the music you helped my generation get to know.
