James Britt Obituary

Britt Jr., James V., 86 years old of Wilton Manors, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2011 with his loving wife Geraldine by his side. Born and raised in Chicago, IL, Jim graduated from Bowen High School in 1942. He entered the U.S. Marine Corps in 1943 serving in the Phillipines as a Gunner in SBD then went to Tsingtao, China for a year until 1946. Jim and his family moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1976 after he retired as a stationary engineer from Stanray Corp. in N.W. Indiana. Jim is also survived by his beloved children James, III of San Diego, CA; Sharon Dreesen; Martha (Lou) Grabiec; David (Suzanne); and his grandchildren Melissa Grabiec and Julie (Cory) Sontag; and also friends Terry Mase and Lance Piper.
