I'm sorry that I only knew Donna and Dan for a couple of years. Dan was always fun to play golf with and was very competitive. In the last year he had a hole in one and won the 'Gator Open' golf tournament. While he wasn't a man of faith he had a great spirit, he was deeply loved, and will be missed.

My deepest sympathy to Donna, Ben, and the rest of Dan's family on the loss of a wonderful husband, father, brother, friend. I knew Dan through high school where he sat in front of me in homeroom for 4 years, and then we connected again about 12 years ago when we got involved in planning our high school reunion. He was a lot of fun, always joking, making witty comments and enjoying making people laugh. He loved people and they loved him. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of having him in their lives.

I first had the pleasure of meeting Doctor James when he answered the call of his country one more time first as a volunter then working as a part time Audiologist at the VA medical center Audiology Department. Dan will be missed by his co-workers and fellow veteran's who he served with pride and compassion. May you find eternal peace my friend

Dan was one of my best golf buddies. He had a great sense of humor, a warm smile and was always willing to help others. He was doing voluntary hearing service at the VA hospital. When he found out I wore hearing aids, he gave me several packs of "outdated" batteries left from his practice in south Florida. They worked fine! Dan walked 18 several times a week and was a top-shelf golfer. He took good care of himself and was in excellent condition. We were the same age. Rest in peace, Dan. I will really miss you, but I will always remember you on the golf course.
