John Fulling Obituary

Fulling, John Browning, real estate mogul and collector of rare Mayan and Haitian art died at a long term care facility on Thursday, March 10th after a long illness, with his family by his side. Mr. Fulling was 80 years old. Mr. Fulling was best described as an entrepreneur that liked good food and a spicy joke . His knowledge and extensive collection of Mayan art was sought after by some of the most prestigious galleries in the world. Throughout Mr. Fulling's life he could be counted upon to loan his art work for exhibitions at numerous galleries including, the Mexican Exhibit at Disney's Epcot Center. Mr. Fulling donated an extensive amount of art to Pinecrest School in Ft. Lauderdale and Duke University in North Carolina. Linda Foster of Coconut Creek, FL, Mr. Fulling's only daughter, remembers her father as a very intelligent and entrepreneurial man. In addition to Linda and her husband Howard Foster, Jr., Mr. Fulling is survived by his son, Robert Browning Fulling of Lighthouse Point, FL, grandchildren Amy Foster and Howard Foster III and his wife Tanya Foster and great-grandson Howard Foster IV, Coconut Creek, FL. Also survived by Sophia Baldino, stepdaughter and her children Michael and Naomi Baldino of Boca Raton, FL. A memorial service is scheduled for March 16th at 1:00 p.m. at the Calvary Chapel, 2400 West Cypress Creek Rd., Ft. Lauderdale, FL immediately followed by a celebration of his life at the Lighthouse Point Yacht and Racquet Club. Donations can be made in Mr. Fulling's name to the following: The Hundred Club of Broward County, P.O. Box 24345, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33307.
