John Greenwood Obituary

Greenwood, John Thomas, a resident of Fort Lauderdale, FL, peacefully passed away February 26, 2013, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, NC. He was born in Winston-Salem, NC on February 2, 1949. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joan Greenwood Cardwell (Charles). He is survived by two brothers, Jerry Wesley Greenwood and James Gray Greenwood; two sisters, Janie Greenwood Harris (Vander), Goodlettsville, TN and Jean Elizabeth Strunk (William), Savannah, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family will receive friends from 11 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Douthit Chapel followed by a memorial service. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.

To my family we have lost a beautiful soul and now he is in heaven bringing joy to those that has went before him. He was a inspiration and taught our family how to love each other unconditionally. May you all be comfort by remembering the legacy he left behind.
