Mary Geus Fabrize

Mary Geus (Anderson ) Fabrize, 91, of Plantation, FL, died April 12, 2017, with her family by her side. Born October 29,1925, in Dames Point, FL. Also lived in Davie, Jacksonville, and Miami, FL. She was a Court Reporter in Criminal and Civil Courts and an Official Federal Court Reporter from 1950 through 1984. In 1962, she became a "Merit Writer" with the National Court Reporter Association ( NCRA). After retiring as an active court reporter, she taught court reporting at Sheridan Vocational and Atlantic Vocational. She was very active in the Florida Court Reporter Association where she achieved the 1988 Honorary Member Award. In 1992, she won the NCRA Outstanding Teacher award and in 1993, the Arlene P. Sommers award for outstanding achievement of Education. In 2002, she retired from teaching to travel and enjoy life with her husband and family. She is survived by her husband, Robert O. Fabrize; seven children and their spouses, Barbara Hartmann, John and Joann Geus, Karl and Martha Geus, Joseph and Nancy Geus, Miriam and Troy Seber, Robert O Fabrize Jr. and Ricardo and Michelle Fabrize; 8 grandchildren, John Geus III, Rusty Higgins, Michael Reser, Mary E Geus, Amanda Geus, Austin Seber, Lauren Fabrize, Michael Fabrize; and 5 great-grandchildren, Jonathan Geus, Clair Higgins, Eryn Geus, Christian Santiago, Alyssa Santiago . At her request, no service was held.
