Peter "Pete" Micciche

Peter "Pete" Frank Micciche passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 26, 2013 at 83 years of age. Pete was born in 1930 in New York, where he met Marie, the love of his life. They married in 1952; committed to each other and their family through the joys and challenges of 61 years of marriage. Pete served our country in the Army during the Korean War. They moved to South Florida in 1969. Pete was skilled in many areas and consistently supported and lovingly guided his family. The family stated, "Dad lived 83 years teaching our family to be better people, to care about others and to always take the time to do the right thing. We know he's beside the Lord, but we'll miss him dearly. Dad was a loving, colorful, and very tough individual who was always there for us. He was larger than life, and we believe larger than death as well; leaving a legacy that continues to help make the world a better place." Pete is survived by his wife Marie, four children and spouses Cathy and Robin Austin, Maria and Ron Downey, Senator Peter and Erin Micciche, and David and Sallie Peyton, along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A celebration of Pete's life will occur on Saturday November 9, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Oakland Park, Florida.
