Cahill III, Rev. Frank E., 78 of Lighthouse Point, FL, passed away on May 6, 2010. He was born in New York City. He graduated from St. Ann's Academy, Manhattan College and Columbia University. After serving in the U.S. Army and pursuing a career in Motion Pictures and Television he was ordained a Priest for the Archdiocese of Miami, FL. He was the first person to be ordained from the Seminary of St. Vincent de Paul in Boynton Beach, FL. In over thirty years of ministry, Father Cahill was a parish priest, a prison chaplain, a seminary professor, and for ten years Director of Production for Radio and Television for the Archdiocese of Miami. He was listed in Who's Who in Motion Pictures and Television. He was a member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and also the American Film Institute; a member of the Columbia University Club of New York and Sigma Nu Fraternity, and member of the Military Order of the World Wars. In retirement he served part time at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Lighthouse Point, FL. He served in Parishes at St. Mary's Cathedral, Miami, Blessed Trinity, Miami Springs, St. Francis deSales, Miami Beach, St. Vincent, Margate and St. Paul the Apostle, LHP. Visitation will be Monday, May 10, 2010, 5 to 8 p.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Church with a Wake Service 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be said 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at St. Paul the Apostle Church followed by burial in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, N. The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
