Hey buddy we sure miss you. Everyone here is doing pretty good. We are dealing with a thing called COVID which has challenged us all. I’m sure you’d have thought it was a conspiracy theory. Every time I see a Chem Trail I think of you and all we talked about. Miss your friendship, our fishing trips the music and BTW my computer hasn’t been the same since. I hope Margaritaville in heaven everything we hope for. Play on and hope you lines are always tight. We miss you. Mark. Wendy. Justin

Ej and I met when we were 11 when we joined boy scouts. I know, it's hard to believe but true, he was a boy scout.
We stayed friends all through high school and our " hot rod " days. We both had 1957 Pontiac Pontiac stick shifts which we raced constantly.
When he left for boot camp he was 5'7". When he came back he was 6'1".
We both got a job at Western Electric where I was his union representative. What a challenge that was! Being too structured for him he went to Picker Xray but he hated the Winters. One day he dug his car out of a snow bank and drove to Florida. He never looked back.
He was a self made man, very smart and multi talented. He was very successful with a big heart always cheering for the underdog and giving generously to friends and family.
After he built the resort in Belize my wife Camille and I spent a week with him down there. It was the best vacation ever.
We hunted and fished together and always remained friends. He was one of a kind and I miss him.

I roomed with EJ for several years after we met working at Miami Heart. He did not like bosses so he became his own. We travelled down many paths but mostly the fishing and the music. As Bonnie said.. they broke the mold. I will miss him greatly.

Tim, Eddie & Tisha,
I was saddened to hear about the passing of your Dad. My sincere condolences go out to you and your families. It's been a few years since I last sat and talked with him. Mike and I dropped in unannounced on one of my last trips back to FL. He was stunned to see us both standing there on his doorstep. During that short visit I chuckled thinking.. He hadn't changed a bit even after all these years! He was still the same old E.J. I remembered from my childhood years. Astute and charismatic, always thinking outside the box. My fondest memories of him will always include his love of Fishing, Jimmy Buffet, Talk radio & Swisher Sweets. His backyard home movies and random interviews with the patrons of Publix still have me in stitches. He was truly “One of a Kind” and will be missed by all that knew him.

we were so very saddened to learn of EJ's death. although we knew it was inevitable, it didn't hurt any less. we knew EJ for years and thought he was one of the nicest men, with such a dry - tongue in cheek- sense of humor. he was also so very politically astute and provoked many new thoughts and ideas from his prolific online research.
he is -and will be - missed.
we never met you, Bonnie, but thank you from the bottom of our hearts for caring for him so lovingly despite the heartache it must have cause watching him deteriorate so slowly. he really fought the good fight.
sincerely,
marilyn and karl mikkelsen

My deepest condolences to all of EJ's family and friends, especially to Eddie and Timmy. I hope and pray that I helped your Dad's transition from his wonderful life he had before he got sick, to his new eternal life with God, an easier one. He fought a good fight but his poor body just couldn't take anymore. EJ, you will always have a part of my heart and I will always cherish our earlier years together and the last months of your life, forever. There won't be a day go by I won't think of you EJ. I promise you that. I will see you again someday, that I know. I will love you always. Rest and be at peace now. Always and eternal love.
