LEONARD BRAGMAN DIES AT 89. Leonard was a Businessman, Community Activist, Husband and Father. October 14, 1924-September 1, 2014 "This is, I believe, the greatest generation any society has ever produced." Tom Brokaw Businessman and community activist Leonard Bragman has died at 89 in Pompano Beach, Florida. Bragman died at his residence following a brief illness. Born and raised in Flint, Michigan, Bragman was best known as the founder of Klein & Bragman Insurance Agency and for his involvement in numerous civic organizations. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Myrna Wolin Bragman; two sons, Alan Bragman (Karen Bragman) of Atlanta and Howard Bragman (Chuck O'Donnell) of Los Angeles; two grandsons, Adam Bragman of Los Angeles and David Bragman of Chicago; a sister, Miriam Burns of New York City; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. Three brothers, Ben, Paul and Melvin, his twin, predeceased him. Bragman was born and raised in Flint and raised his family there. He moved to Florida after selling his business more than 25 years ago. He was an active member in many organizations including his synagogue, Congregation Beth Israel, B'nai B'rith, The Elks, The Masons, The Shriners, and Junior Achievement. Golfing was one of his biggest passions. He shot three hole-in-ones in his lifetime and once shot an even-par round of 72 at Atlas Country Club. Bragman proudly served as a radio repairman on reconnaissance flights over Europe as a Corporal in The US Army Air Corps. He was awarded the Purple Heart. He graduated from Flint Northern High School and attended The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Interment will be held on Thursday at 11:00AM at Machpelah Cemetery in Flint, Michigan.
