On August 2, 2015, a beautiful, sunny, Ohio Sunday, a tragedy occurred that took the lives of two beloved people, Anthony "Tony" and Nancy (LaSure) Marsello. Although their vibrant lives were cut short, their impact was tremendous. Tony, born in Syracuse, NY, was a decorated Korean war veteran, and a 30-year New Process Gear retiree. Nancy, born in Fayetteville, NY, was an accomplished, multi-ribbon winning Equestrian, and retired from McLane Company. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Gaetano and Assunta Marsello and brother, Joseph Marsello. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Reginald and Lillian LaSure, and brother, Reginald and his wife, Joan LaSure. They are survived by their children, Stacy (Jim) Emert and Mark Marsello; brother, Ralph (Mary) Marsello, and sister, Ernestine Lanza; brother, Peter (Jane) LaSure; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Nancy and Tony started their life together in Syracuse, retiring to Hudson, Florida, and most recently to Delaware, Ohio to be near their daughter. No words can express our sorrow and sincere thanks to our family and friends for their love and support.
Services will be in Syracuse, NY with a Mass at St. Vincent De Paul Church on Friday, September 11, 2015 at 11 a.m. located on 342 Vine Street.
