Nelson L. Pratt

Nelson L. Pratt, 71, of Brewerton, passed away on Friday, with his wife by his side. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting from a young age, and was an exceptional fisherman. He enjoyed teaching others new skills ranging from fishing to welding, and including trap shooting, which he had a special patience for. He belonged to several CNY gun clubs, including Toad Harbor Rod & Gun Club, of which he was a life member. Nelson is predeceased by his father, Nelson P. Pratt, who died in WWII; a step-father, Gerald F. Muckey; his mother, Edith E. Muckey; and a brother, Arnold P. Pratt.

He is survived by his loving wife, of 36 years, Barbara; two sons, Jeffrey (Carol) and Eric (Colleen) of Colorado; two daughters, Pamela (Rudy) of Colorado and Londa of Texas; six grandchildren; one brother, Gerald L. (Linda) Muckey; and two special cousins, James (Linda) Young and Donald Dence.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, 4 to 7 p.m., at Traub Funeral Home, Central Square, with a service to follow.
