I went to Leon High School with Russell. I remember him as that really funny kid who got along with everyone. He was the kind of guy everyone knew, even if they didn't "know" him. I'm so happy to hear he did such amazing things with his life. I'm so sorry to hear that's he gone. My prayers are with you all.

I had the privilege of meeting Russell through his fellow Airman/brother in North Carolina just a few weeks before he began his tour in Afghanistan. Russell's memory will last forever throughout many hearts. My deepest, heartfelt condolences are with his friends and family.

Mountain family, Viola, & Frank. I am so very sorry for your loss. Russ was one of a kind and will forever be remembered as such. I am very blessed that had the chance to know him. When he came to Panama City a few years back, I had the pleasure to spend time with the sweetest, most respectful young man I've come across. From a boy making forts with my brother to this handsome gentleman who was filled with charm. I will forever hold those memories dear. I wish you all the comfort and love that you need. I am honored to have spent the time I have with him, and I am a better person because of him. Russell made me a better person, and every life he has encountered is better because of him. Enterprise State Community College mourns the loss of Russell Mountain. I (Terri Parker) had seen him not to long ago at our campus. We had a nice chat and enjoyed catching up and telling old ESCC stories about Coach Hulsey:) Coach Hulsey is very sad:( Love to the family and all the ESCC baseball players that were his teammates that are suffering.

Russell and I went to the same preschool, elementary, and high school. I always loved being around him because he always made me laugh. His laugh was contagious. His smile was radiant. His heart, open and loving.

Russell was a friend from leon high school baseball. So sad to hear about this. He was always there to make people llaugh and was also a very talented pitcher I was very proud to hear about him in the Air Force. My prayers go out to the mountain family.
