Dennis Lamar Obituary

Dennis Lamar WACISSA - Dennis Lamar, 60, a retired engineer for the Department of Transportation, died Saturday, March 22, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jonita Lamar. The service will be at 11 a.m. EST Tuesday at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Monticello, with burial at the church cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. EST today at Beggs Funeral Home Monticello Chapel (997-5612). A native of Wacissa, he was a lifelong resident of Jefferson and Leon counties. Other survivors include his mother, Alliree Walker of Wacissa; three daughters, Allisa Lamar (and companion Vernon Brock) of Lloyd, Lori Sanders (and husband Doug) of Lamont and Denita Black (and husband Shannon) of Tallahassee; a brother, Thomas Lamar of Tallahassee; and four grandchildren, Andy Stansberry, Nikki Stansberry, Michael Sanders and Brian Brock.
