Paul R. Smith, Jr.

Paul R. Smith, Jr., 74, died June 6, 2011 at his home in Tallahassee, FL. He was born in Wewahitchka, FL, July 3, 1936. After graduating from Wewahitchka High School in 1954, he joined the U. S. Army. Upon his discharge in 1957, he and his wife moved to Tallahassee to attend Florida State University. He worked at several jobs while attending school before going to work with the U. S. Postal Service where he retired after 30 years of service.

Paul is survived by his wife, Margery Hawkins Smith; two daughters, Paula Smith and Susan S. Lewis; two granddaughters, Jessica Daniels and Sarah Lewis; two great grandsons, Jakari Person and Jeremiah Daniels; a half Sister, Mary Jane Minger (Richard) of Port St. Joe; a sister-in-law, Faye H. Connell (Jack); a niece, Kelli P. Lindsey, and a nephew, Rusty Peacock.

The Family will receive friends at their home from 2 - 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2011. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to, Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308.
