Richard Andrews Obituary

Richard C. "Dick" Andrews

Richard C. "Dick" Andrews, passed away September 20, 2014 at Capital Regional Medical Center. Dick was born January 31, 1925 in Mt. Vernon, New York. He graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, class of 1945W. He was commissioned as an Ensign in the US Navy in 1945. Dick spent 34 years as an engineer with Union Carbide Corporation. He was retired for 33 years.

Dick is survived by his wife of 36 years, Joyce Andrews; children, Richard C. Andrews, Jr. (Diana), Nancy E. Kraft (Warren), William J. Andrews (Kristin); five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three step-children & spouses; five step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.

Memorialization was by cremation. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Cape Cod. Donations may be made to Westminster Benevolent Assistance Fund (80 W Lucerne Cir., Orlando, FL 32801-9822.) Elizabeth Chambers of Bevis Funeral Home is assisting the family with their arrangements (850-385-2193, www.bevisfh.com)
