Hiya, Wake. I was just going down memory lane, looking at our yearbook and wondering what you were up to. I'll never forget the time you let me bleach your hair blonde after school. Man, you hair was stubborn. Guess I'll see you when I see you. You're a good man.

My brother Jimmy and I grew up with Wake on Solomon's Island from 1987-1994. He was one of the kindest, funniest friends from our years on the island. Wake took me to my first 'formal' dance when I was only 13 years old. He was such a gentleman from the wrist corsage he brought me to introducing me to all of his high school friends.
I just learned of his tragic passing this year and I want his wife and parents to know that they are in my thoughts and prayers often.
Wake was a light to those that knew him and I was blessed to have him in my life as a childhood friend. Blessings and love to all that knew and loved him, he was one of a kind!

Jenny and Chris, Frank and I are so incredibly saddened to learn the tragic news of your Wake's passing. No words can begin to express the sadness that we feel for you during this time of unparalleled grief and loss. Though we never met Wake, we clearly recall how you would you two were so proud of him and his marriage to his Italian beauty.. You would share how special of a person he was with such pride and love. Please know that you are in our thoughts and that we are always here for you. With our deepest sympathies, Frank and Lea Ann
