Manuel Garcia Obituary

GARCIA, Manuel Paulino, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2003 after a brief illness. He was born in Tampa, Florida on June 22, 1914 to Modesto and Lucinda Garcia who preceded him in death. He also preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Rosario Anton Garcia also of Tampa. Mr. Garcia was one of six children, Joseph, Anton, Nick, Mary and Pura all deceased. Manuel Garcia became the sole distributor in South Florida for Cafe Bustelo in 1949. He and his business partner, Antonio Fernandez (now deceased) were responsible for the tremendous growth of Cafe Bustelo in the South Florida Latin Community, Mr. Garcia is survived by his three children, Karl M. Garcia (Mary), Maria Rappaport and M. Paul Garcia (Elizabeth); grandchildren Kristen Ebert, Todd Rappaport (Azalia), Stephanie Rappaport, Nicole Rappaport andTracey Cheston (Charles), Jason Andrew and Matthew Garcia, and Gabrielle Garcia; great grandchildren Amanda and Lauren Ebert, Dylan and Ryan Rappaport and Gregory Rappaport and many other family and friends. Services were held on Tuesday, March 4, at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn Kendall Chapel, 11655 SW 117th Ave., Miami. 305-238-3672. Memorial Donations may be made in his name, to thecharity of your choice.
