JOHN BASTIANELLI Obituary
BASTIANELLI, John Lawrence, 66, of Lake Placid, Fla., passed away June 10, 2011, at his home.
He was born in New London, Conn., and came to Lake Placid 12 years ago from Okeechobee, Fla. He was a state bee inspector with the State of Florida for 29 years. He was in the U.S. Air Force and received a Purple Heart in Vietnam. Mr. Bastianelli was a member of the Apiary Association. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Placid. Preceded in death by his parents and son, Ty Bastianelli, he is survived by his loving wife, Ellen Marie Bastianelli of Lake Placid; five children, Leslie Sparks and husband, Steve, of Lake Placid, Gina Cushings of Colorado, Jim Causier of Okeechobee, Fla., Jennifer Causier of Jacksonville, Fla., and Stacey Ramirez of Texas; and 10 grandchildren. A memorial service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2011, at First Presbyterian Church of Lake Placid. Drew Severance will be officiating.
