John Scialo Obituary

John George Scialo, 79, died Oct. 13, 2012, at Treasure Coast Hospice. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in Port St. Lucie for 18 years, coming from Long Island, N.Y. He was a veteran of the Army. Before retiring, he owned his own air-conditioning business. He was a member of St. Lucie Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Mary Scialo of Port St. Lucie; sons, Frank Scialo of Polk City, John Scialo Jr. of Port St. Lucie and Salvatore Scialo of Sunrise; daughters, Ann Marie Hornack of Winchester, Regina Gordon of Port St. Lucie, Josephine Neylon of Coral Springs, Linda Scialo-Rus of Boca Raton, Grace Ann Burke of Sunrise and Mary Elizabeth Scialo of Atlanta; 20 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America 322 8th Ave., 7th Floor, New York, N.Y. 10001. Services: A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 19 at St. Lucie Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie. Arrangements are by Martin Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Lucie Chapel.
