Sandra Helseth Obituary

SANDRA CAIN HELSETH Sandra Cain Helseth passed away unexpectedly on November 19, 2008. Sandy was born on August 30, 1946 in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from Murphy High School in Atlanta in 1964 as Valedictorian. Sandy received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Florida Atlantic University in 1968. After being a teacher, Sandy worked as a Cartographer and GIS Specialist for the Indian River County Property Appraiser's Office for 29 years. She retired in March 2007 to move to Winter Springs, FL. The courage and strength Sandy exhibited in her life was extraordinary. Sandy made it a priority in her life to help others without expecting anything in return. The love, caring, and kindness that she expressed to others is an inspiration to us all, and will always be remembered. Sandy is survived by her son, Patrick Helseth of Winter Springs, FL, son Christopher Helseth, mother, Florence Cain, daughter-in- law Tina Helseth, and grandchildre n Garrett and Kristina Helseth, all of Vero Beach. Sandy will forever be in our hearts and prayers. Heaven is now a better place because Sandy is there. A viewing will be held at Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home in Altamonte Springs, FL on Saturday November 22, 2008 from 4-8 P.M., with the funeral service being held there on Sunday November 23, 2008 at 11 A.M. Flowers can be sent to the funeral home address of 994 E. Altamonte Drive, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701.

I worked with Sandy for 24 years in the property appraiser's office. She is like extended family. She will be missed. My sincere sympathy to her family.
