Frederick Kalil Obituary

Dr. Frederick H. Kalil, 94, died May 6, 2012, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach. He was born in Manchester, N.H., and lived in Vero Beach for 20 years, coming from Bedford, N.H. He attended the University of New Hampshire and received his DMD from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He served his internship in oral surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and practiced dentistry in Manchester for 41 years. He served in the Army Air Forces during World War II. He was a member of the Holy Cross Church, the American and New Hampshire dental associations, and a lifetime member of the Manchester Country Club. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Madeleine Dionne Kalil of Vero Beach; sons, Frederick H. Kalil Jr. of Arlington, Mass., Peter Kalil of Newton, Mass., and Stephen Kalil of Bedford; daughter, Martha Kennedy of Rye, N.Y.; brother, John Kalil of Manchester; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dr. Toufic Kalil; and sister, Alice Christou. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Cedars Melkite Catholic Church, 140 Mitchell St., Manchester, NH 03103. Services: Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. May 11 at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home in Manchester. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. May 12 at Our Lady of the Cedars Melkite Catholic Church, Manchester. Burial will be in Bedford Center Cemetery in Bedford. Local arrangements are by Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach.
