William Garren Obituary



WILLIAM C. (WOODY) GARREN Garren, William C. (Woody) 62 of Knoxville, TN went home to be with the Lord Wednesday March 11, 2015. He is of the Baptist faith. Woody served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam era. He is preceded in death by parents, Clarence and Lillie Garren; brothers, Bobby, Jimmie & Jackie; sisters, Sue Garren and Kathleen Dale. Woody is survived by his loving wife Vicki Garren; children, William Clarence (Amber) Garren, Jr., Randy (Jen) Garren, and Christy (Antwon) Lewis; stepchildren, Melissa Hickman, John David Savage, and Crystal Rutherford; 11 grandchildren; siblings, Ruby Dunlap, Pauline Burchell, Mary Johnson, Helen Coleman, Johnny Garren, James Garren, Jimmy Garren, Dennis Garren, Melissa Gomes, and Marie Fox. Family will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home on Chapman Highway Saturday March 14th from 2-4pm. A Military honors funeral will be held at the Tennessee State Veteran's Cemetery on John Sevier Highway Monday March 16th at 9:30 am. Condolences may be offered at www.highlandmemorialsouth.com

I am so very sorry for your families loss, I have known Woody since I was about 11 yrs. old all of us where like family growing up,( the Tipton's, Caughorn's & Garren's ) Woody was always a special person, he was kind and sweet and a good friend and I'm sure that never changed, I just want you all to know that I will keep you in my prayers.
