A message for you dad,
Sorry it has taken me some time to write to you. I've had a hard time facing the fact that you are actually gone.
I am so grateful and proud to have been your daughter and blessed to have had you as my father.
No one could have asked for a better father.
You were always there for me no matter what. You taught me what forgiveness and unconditional love was. No matter what I did you never stopped loving me and you were always there for me like nothing ever happened. I'm sure I was responsible for a lot of your gray hair !
You showed me by the way you lived the values of honesty, humility, integrity and faith. You had a strong work ethic which you passed along to me. I am so grateful for everthing you showed me and taught me about life.
I miss your Irish sense of humor and your wonderful laugh (I can hear you laughing now !). I will always remember how you would tear up when you sang and listened to your favorite Irish songs. Your gentleness and tenderness as a man was beautiful.
I have so many wonderful memories, experiences and adventures to remember and they warm my heart and bring a smile to my face every time.
Not a day goes by that I don't think about you and how much I miss calling and talking to you.
My heart still aches and the tears still flow but I know you took your last train home. That gives me some solice and peace. You passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus.
