Dear Joanne and Chuckie, and Jeff too, This is Ronda Freeman now Ronda Shiffrin, your once duplex neighbor and family friend from Worcester.
What a lovely photo of your mom. She was such a good friend to my mother at so many times in their lives. And I still enjoy flipping through my recipe file and finding a recipe in Lee's handwriting. That I treasure for sure.
I remember the canasta club meetings and sitting in with the ladies sometimes when they needed a sub. Your mom was very kind and patient with me.
I am in the processes now of selling my house and moving not far, to Lititz PA. My dear husband, Barry, died two years back and I think as I age it would be best to be somewhere that can give help if I need it.
Hope you and yours are doing well.
Sending love your way,
Ronda

Mrs. G was always such an "up" person. My fond memories go back to childhood as we shared a duplex on Reed Street. She was certainly like a second mother to me then. I also remember the times I filled-in for someone of the Canasta Ladies. Lee was even my partner once. Since I was only in my early teens then, this seemed quite an honor.
Hanna, Chuckie and Geoff, we will all miss your mom. Now my mother (Esther) and she can play cards to their hearts delight. I hope they are both at peace.

Sid and Evelyn Plotkin want to express our sincerest condolensces to Chuck, Geoff and Joanne in losing your Mom. We saw her not that long ago at the Willows and she looked good. We were good neighbors on Sherwood Road for many years. May her memory be for a blessing.
