Nancy, Bev and the entire Lucier family,

I can't believe 10 years has already passed since your father, grandfather and great grandfather has died.

I certain of one thing and that is the Red Sox vs. the Yankees debate is continuing into eternity.

I do miss Chewy or Deacon Bill's Dad as I would refer to him on many occasions and on that note I am certain that Deacon Bill and his father are happily together in Heaven.

May God continue to Bless the Lucier family,

Jack Moran

Tammy, Nancy, & Lucier Families,

Trudy & I would like to express our heartfelt sympathies & Condolences to all! We were very lucky and honored to have spent some wonderful times talking with Lou at Lucier family gatherings. The old Red Sox stories were my favorites of course. Trudy remembers Lou as a kind loving gentle man who was all about the kids and family. Lou certainly touched many many people along the way and will be missed dearly. Keep all the great memories close to your hearts.

Peace & Love,

Jim & Trudy Gunning

when Chewy was playing for the Red Sox in 1943, his brother Leo and I were stationed in Boston in the Navy. He came over to see us and gave us tickets to see him pitch the next day.
Chewy was truly a great ball player and a great person.

Nancy, Bev and the entire Lucier family,

We all now mourn the passing of such a wonderful, humble and I might add incredibly kind man.

I have always considered it an honor to have been fortunate enough to spend precious time with both Lou & Bill.

Of course the most amazing aspect of Lou's life is how he managed to live with a die hard Yankees fan all those years))):

Well I am certain the great debate on who is the better team can commence in earnest now as the Yankees vs. Red Sox sides are even once again. I almost expect to be hearing some significant thunderstorms soon )):

While we all mourn the passing of such a wonderful person, we must also celebrate the way this Christian man led by example. A faith filled man who was an outstanding husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be missed by all but never forgotten.

Yes Lou made a difference.

Finally we all take comfort in believing we will see Lou again one day.

Bev, Nan, and all family members. It is with deep felt sympathy that we send this wish. Your Dad was a superstar in every form of life. He was a great son and brother, a husband, a father, a grand father, an uncle, and a friend of all who met him. I am so proud to have been his God Child, and I know that he sits in Heaven right now. God is rewarding him for being the Christian that he was. All my love to you all. Marlene and I are so happy to have visited with him and Nancy, just one month previous. I will cherish the last baseball autograph that he signed for me. I have two. The one he signed for me when I was born, and this last one. Love, Lou and Marlene

I had the pleasure of interviewing Lou and he led a fascinating life. I not only loved hearing about his baseball career but also about his musical talents. He was a self-taught musician and played saxophone in a trio. He will be missed by everyone who had the opportunity to meet him. Nancy B.

I met Mr. Lucier at the Grafton High School Hall of Fame Induction a few years ago as we were inducted the same night. His acceptance speech was remarkably humble in that his main point of emphasis was apologizing for being the losing pitcher in a 1-0 loss to Millbury. It still bothered him after all those years.
