Our Mr. Severance served as such a lighthearted, solid and centered anchor for so many adolescents eager for such a giving mentor. He will be missed deeply, but his legacy lives on in all of us who strive to emulate his character and style as we work with children in schools or in our own homes! - APS 1970 grad, and rather hopeless math student...

As a member of the Class of 1961, North Brookfield High School, I would like to express my deepest sympathy on the passing of your father and grandfather.
Tom was our math teacher, driver ed. teacher and our class advisor. We appreciated his patience, his sense of humor and his easy going personality.
At our 50th class reunion this September, "Tommy" will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by us all.

Tom was an exceptional person. I have known him for many years as a Granger, but often spoke about school as well. When Tom was in the room, you could see and feel his cheerful ways. Peg will be so glad to have her partner with her once again. They are both going to be missed dearly.

Dear Members of Tom's family!!
I am a Grange member from Rhode Island and got to know Tom upon my many visits as a young adult to many Mass. Grange activities. He had such a quick whit in joking with me and made me feel welcome at all the numerous activities. At the many National Grange sessions I attended he was very welcoming as well and was such a supporter to me in my Grange travels. My sincere sympathy to all of Tom's family. Well done good and faithful servant.

Tom was a wonderful man and teacher. He helped me become a better coach and teacher through our talks and working together in the Worcester County Math League. I have only known Tom for a few years as treasurer of WOCOMAL. When he left last year the Bromfield math team immediately missed him. They knew he cared, his humor encompassed us all. We shall miss him.
