Our Mr. Severance served as such a lighthearted, solid and centered anchor for so many adolescents eager for such a giving mentor. He will be missed deeply, but his legacy lives on in all of us who strive to emulate his character and style as we work with children in schools or in our own homes! - APS 1970 grad, and rather hopeless math student...

As a member of the Class of 1961, North Brookfield High School, I would like to express my deepest sympathy on the passing of your father and grandfather.
Tom was our math teacher, driver ed. teacher and our class advisor. We appreciated his patience, his sense of humor and his easy going personality.
At our 50th class reunion this September, "Tommy" will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by us all.

Great math teacher and quick wit. Had nice teaching style and pleasure to be around. A loss of a true gent. APS 1970 Student

Severance Family, My deepest condolences to you and your family at this difficult time. May the memories you have bring you comfort.

There are no true words to say how we all will miss Tom. Prayers are with all the family at this time. The Grange will have a large hole in its circle.

Dear Martha, Tom and Richard:
We are so sorry for the loss of your father (Uncle Tom). Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your families.
Love, Kathleen, Neil, Tyler and Mitchell Cormier

Dear Tom Jr., & Family,
So sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow. His presence every Sunday as a dedicated lector at church is a memory for many of us that will live on forever.

Tom was an exceptional person. I have known him for many years as a Granger, but often spoke about school as well. When Tom was in the room, you could see and feel his cheerful ways. Peg will be so glad to have her partner with her once again. They are both going to be missed dearly.
