Helen Cassery Obituary

Helen S. (Costa) Cassery, 82, formerly of 81 Longfellow Rd., died Friday September 2, 2011 in Holy Trinity Nursing Home.

Her husband, Peter Cassery died in 1993. She leaves her son, David Cassery and his wife Tara of Grafton, a daughter, Sandra Cassery, a sister, Mary Dimitri of Philadelphia, her grandson, Ryan Peter Cassery, and many cousins, nephews and nieces.

She was predeceased by her brother Van Costa.

Born in Southbridge, daughter of George and Alexandra (Riska) Costa, she was the office manager of the Cassery family insurance agency for many years, and was a devoted caretaker for her daughter Sandra who has special needs.

She enjoyed and appreciated the simple things in life and especially loved to laugh and smile.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am. Tuesday, September 6 in St. Mary's Albanian Orthodox Church 535 Salisbury St. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 4-7 pm. Monday, Sept. 5 in Caswell-King Funeral Home, 474 Grove St. with a Trisagion service at 6:30. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Church or Holy Trinity Nursing Home, 300 Barber Ave.
