Spring, 94
WORCESTER - Jane D. (Gorak) Spring, 94, of Worcester, died Friday, April 20, 2012 in Christopher House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Her husband, William K. Spring died in 1981.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen E. Henry and her husband Robert R. of Worcester; two sons, William A. Spring and his wife, Karen E. of Northborough, Ronald J. Spring and his wife, Karen L. of Worcester: two brothers, Edward J. and Henry F. Gorak, both of Worcester; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Michael Spring; brothers, Joseph and Thaddeus Gorak and sisters, Sophie Mahoney and Irene Lipka. Jane was born in Worcester a daughter of Anthony G. and Martha (Szewczyk) Gorak.
A lifelong Worcester resident, Mrs. Spring graduated from the former Worcester High School of Commerce. She was employed as an assembler at the former Culver Stearns Company for twenty-two years prior to retiring in 1978. She was a member of the Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. Jane was a longtime volunteer at the Worcester Age Center. Besides enjoying her family, she also liked doing crossword puzzles and was a staunch New England Patriots fan.
The family would like to thank the employees at the Christopher House-Belmont Village Unit for all the wonderful care given to their mother.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 24, from HENRY - DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., Worcester with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours in the funeral home will be on Monday, April 23, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
