Nashville, TN

Curtis Willard Vaughn, age 87 of Nashville, passed away on September 22, 2016.

He was preceded in death by his father, Houston G. Vaughn; mother, Ethel Cain; eight brothers, Clifton, Buford, Otis, Other, Mahlon, Grover, Harold, and Dick Vaughn; three sisters Louise Moss, Myrnie Tucker, and Eva Waldrop; and a special friend Ralph Anderson.

He is survived by a sister, Mabel Thornton of Memphis, TN; a brother, Millard Vaughn of Red Banks, MS; and friend Will Oden.

Mr. Vaughn was born on June 10, 1929, in Prairie, MS, to the late Houston G. Vaughn and Ethel Cain. He was a faithful member of Brookhaven/Brenthaven Cumberland Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. While a member, he was a lay speaker and a Sunday school teacher.

Gathering of family and friends will take place on Sunday, September 25, 2016, at three o'clock in the afternoon at Brookhaven/Brenthaven Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 516 Franklin Road, Brentwood, TN, 37027.

A Celebration of Life service conducted by Rev. Kip Rush will take place at four o'clock in the afternoon at the church following the gathering of family and friends.
