I worked with Bob at Thirty Tigers for 5 years, but never in the Nashville office. We knew each other casually as we'd see each other every few months for a brief moment in time. But every time I ever saw Bob he stopped what he was doing and asked me about my family, the bands I was managing, and anything else going on in my world. He was a true gentleman that cared and supported everyone around him. It was a truly special quality the way he cared and made time for everyone. The world will be a little less caring without him.

Bob and I worked together at Capricorn and he was such a bright and positive presence.
To Bob, everyone was family and working with him and his irresistible energy, was a potent lesson in what it means to be fully committed to your life's passion.
The music business has lost one of it most staunch champions.
We have lost a friend, a teacher and a fine human being.

I met Bob when RED started distributing Capricorn Records mid 90s. As we got to know each other one night on the banks of the Cumberland we realized we were at the same memorable Grateful Dead stadium show in Boulder 1972. We were contemporaries and needed no translator to understand each other. That was the start of 20 years of working, traveling, and adventuring together all over the country. He even made it to our biannual Guys On Ice Minnesota weekend---he was always up for something new! What a sweetheart---miss him in all ways including picking up the phone and hearing him say "What's Up Weirdo?" Happy Trails, Goldie. Please save us a spot in the circle.

I worked for Bob back in the mid-80's at Budget in Portland. He was a great guy and super fair boss. I have very fond memories. He even showed up at a gig of mine in Los Angeles after I left PDX.
My sincere condolences to the family and friends.
