It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael Scott Freeland on March 27th, 2015 at the age of 57.
Scott leaves behind three sisters. He was born in Nashville, TN to Robert & Kathleen Freeland.
His burial service will be held at Middle Tennessee Veterans State Cemetery on McCrory Lane, at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 20, 2015.

I remember the first time I met Scott, thru a friend. I remember he brought his van over to my house to help us move a couch. I still owe you for that one buddy. And he helped my friends move, multiple times; once, even with a bullet wound in his leg. Just the kind of guy he was. A generous man. I like to think he actually did make refrigerator perry and peyton manning cry when they were younger.

Very sad to hear the news of Michael Freeland passing. In the short time period that I knew Scott, he was so helpful, kind and hard working. Scott and another coworker came over to my house to remove some dead bushes. I had only met him briefly before that. A few coworkers would get together and play poker at his place.
Rest in peace Scott.

The last thing he wrote me was:
"Snow in Dallas! They be freaking !!!"
I had mentioned some Ft. Worth folks had told us in CT that it was snowing there in Texas.
He was a real good friend.
