Oh, I just saw this. I am SO sorry! I was Whit Pardue. I lived on Hampton Ave, a street running parallel with Sperry Ave where Mary Ann Butler grew up. My mother, Biz Pardue, was Mary Ann's Mother's best friend. I knew Jane. Jane, I now live in Gainsville, GA...not far from you. I don't know what has happened to your Mom. If you'd like to catch up a little, contact me at the email below. Again, I am so sorry for your loss. Whit Pardue Adams [email protected]

I was sorry to hear of Mary Ann's passing. We worked together when she was at the TN Department of Education. I remember her smile that could light up a room and wish peace for her family.

Ms Butler was my child Leigh Searcy's first grade teacher at Lakeview Elementary. Mary Ann would take Leigh home with her at Hobbs House and I would pick her up after work many days. She loved Ms Butler!! Leigh died 18 years ago. Mary Ann was a wonderful and loving teacher and I will never forget what she did for me as a single parent. I am so sorry and I know how difficult it is to lose a daughter and a sister. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Hi Jane and Jean,
I was horrified to see Mary Ann's Obit. I am so sorry! I pray for you comfort and healing. I hope you two are doing well. Ironically enough, Mike and I have moved to Gainesville, GA to live in Cresswind at Lake Lanier, an over 55, active adult community. We love it. I don't know how close we are, but maybe you could come visit and we'll lounge by the pool or in the sunroom. Wishing you and your families the best....again I am so sorry for your loss. Fondly, Whit. 3569 Cresswind Parkway SW, Gainesville, GA 30504
