Michael Greene Obituary
Hendersonville, TN
Age 59, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.
He leaves his high school sweetheart and wife of 24 years, Susan (Harris) Greene; his daughter, Candice Haynes; his son and daughter-in-law, Chassen and Meagan (Drenner) Haynes; his brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Jann (Waltenbaugh) Greene; sister, Connie Greene; and many nieces, nephews and caring friends.
He is preceded in death by parents Clarence Anderson Greene and Annie Laura (Batson) Greene.
Michael was a caring husband, father and friend to many. After graduating from Madison High School in 1975, he went on to earn his bachelor's degree from University of Tennessee at Martin. He worked for years in the electrical business, including Elec-Tech Electrical Services with his brother Gary, before going to work with Prime Mortgage and Harris Realtors. Following health issues which caused his early retirement, Michael found his calling as a full-time husband, father and friend.
As a Deacon of the Madison Church of Christ family, he enjoyed fellowship and entertaining his friends and Sunday school classmates. He was a gentle man with the largest of hearts that had the ability to make anyone immediately love him. He will be greatly missed by all.
The family will receive friends from 10 AM to 1 PM and 4 PM to 7 PM on Thursday, December 15, 2016, in the main auditorium of Madison Church of Christ, 106 North Gallatin Road, followed by a Celebration of Life ceremony starting at 7 PM with Buck Dozier and Russ Corley officiating.
Contributions in memory of Michael may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Middle Tennessee, 8119 Isabella Lane Suite 105A Brentwood, TN 37027. If you would like to make a contribution by credit card you can call 615-221-2200 extension 112.

I don't know how I missed this news until recently. My love and prayers go out to this precious family in the letting go of this most precious human being. Mike and I became fast friends in first grade at Neely's Bend Elementary school and he will remain imbedded in my memory as one of the first people I ever met born with the heart of Jesus. Sleep well dear friend.

Uncle Mike was the kindest man I've ever known. His smile reminded me of Yanmama and his hugs could make anyone feel better. He promoted happiness and would always make me feel special because, no matter what was going on, he could give me a look on the side that made me feel like we had our own (usually inappropriate) joke that no one else was in on. I love him dearly and will miss him greatly.

So sorry to hear about Michael's passing. I will forever remember conversations I had with Michael,,his kind words,,and of course smiles! In fact Michael was one of the first members to welcome to Madison, making me feel welcome. I am so glad to have met Michael,and of course Susan. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Mike was such a loving and beautiful soul. What a truly Christian man he was. You should be proud that you called him your husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. I remember Mike so well from growing up in Madison. He was a good friend of my sister, Cindy Titus Ford and he was over at our house quite a lot. I have only good and happy memories of Mike. He was on special man!!!!!!! Cannot express the pain in my heart from losing Mike, he was such a GENTLE GAINT. Never ever did I see him upset or angry. Such a peaceful man.
