Age 76. Will lived an inspirational life devoted to God, church, family and friends. He passed away peacefully on November 3, 2015 after a lengthy illness. He was born on January 28, 1939 in Macon County, Tennessee.

The son of the late Jack and Virgie White Vance, he grew up with an older brother, Randall, whom he adored.

Nearly all of his 36-year banking career was spent with Third National Bank, later SunTrust.

After an early retirement, he served as a consultant to various companies, and enjoyed several years of working in development at Lipscomb University.

Will was always an athlete at heart, enjoying playing and watching various sports. One of the joys of his life was coaching his son's baseball teams. He also took great pleasure in traveling with family & friends, serving in civic affairs, and sitting on numerous boards. He was an alumnus of Leadership Nashville. He faithfully served his country for six years in the Air National Guard.

Will was a member of Hillsboro Church of Christ where he served as a deacon and elder. His family is grateful for the support of the church, family, friends, and Alive Hospice.

Carol, this is Bob Collins. I sang bass in our quartet, with Will. I loved him as a brother. Will had that "something" that made "The Sports" one of the most popular quartets during the 1950's, and 1960's. I will truly miss him. Love, Bob
